The story of how an office manager and a driver from ART-TRANS ended up on the same trip to Turkey

A cohesive team is the foundation of a company’s success. That is why ART-TRANS is launching a new initiative called “Our Strength Lies in Unity” and will be sending company managers on joint trips with driver-dispatchers.

The purpose of these trips is to build team cohesion within ART-TRANS, to experience firsthand the day-to-day challenges faced by each project participant, to exchange fresh ideas, and, of course, to provide an opportunity to:

– gain a clear understanding of the daily tasks drivers encounter

– work together to address difficult situations that arise during cargo transport

– optimize processes to achieve greater efficiency

And our “Pioneers” were ART-TRANS employees: Senior Transport Management Manager Ilya Karasev and Driver-Forwarding Agent Sergey Shchurin, who together covered the Tver/Turkey/Tver route with a total length of 4,800 kilometers, crossed three international borders, passed through the “Verkhniy Lars” customs checkpoint, “Aktash,” and took a ferry from Karasu, Turkey, to Tuapse.

“The main challenges are stepping out of your comfort zone, as well as the language barrier and going through customs. But despite that, you gain invaluable real-world experience.”

During the trip, I had the opportunity to meet my international colleagues in person and streamline the customs clearance process, which helped reduce the delivery time for the cargo.
